Аннотация: Обсуждается повторный анализ протоколов исследования по Роршаху поэта Ezra Pound, проведенный тремя современными клиническими психологами. Результаты анализа сопоставляются с психиатрической оценкой состояния Pound в 1946, когда было проведено исследование по Роршаху. Сравнение показало, что современные клинические психологи нашли уровень общей психопатологии более высоким, чем это отражено в первичном исследовании, уровень умственного дефицита также оценен выше в повторном анализе протоколов. Современные интерпретации также позволили предсказать психотически-органическую депрессию, в результате которой Pound покончил жизнь самоубийством, спустя 12 лет после исследования.

Аннотация: The presence of exhibitionism in actively exhibitionistic strippers and passively exhibitionistic models was confirmed when it was discovered that 40 out of 43 subjects produced at least one exhibitionistic (ЕХН) response on the Hand Test, which purportedly measures behavior. Subsequently, based on highly reliable ratings, it was found that the strippers produced significantly more active exhibitionistic human movement (М) respones on the Rorschach and the models more passive exhibitionistic M. This finding was interpreted as confirming Piotrowski's position that M represents reasonably specific overt behaviors. Implications were discussed, and an attempt was made to integrate past research on the Rorschach M score within the context of these findings. Аннотация: The validity of the Rorschach as an instrument to assess impulsivity was examined in a sample of 55 adolescent psychiatric inpatients. The Rorschach variables considered to be related to impulsivity (D, Adjusted D, M, Afr, X+%, FC:CF+C, and L) were used to predict performance on the Gordon Diagnostic System (GDS). Only the discriminant function for the GDS Delay Task (which assesses the ability to formulate response strategies and to benefit from feedback) was statistically significant, with a 76.36% correct classification of subjects. The Rorschach variables with the highest correlations within the discriminant function were D, FC:CF+C, and M. Аннотация: This study compared two Rorschach administration methods across a number of test variables. With a within-subjects, counter-balanced design, 20 female subjects randomly received either an initial Rapaport (Rapaport, Gill, & Schafer, 1968) or an Exner (Exner, 1974, 1986) Rorschach administration. Results showed that the Exner administration produced significantly more Color (C), Shading (Shd), and Blend (B) responses that did the Rapaport administration. Intersystem differences were most prominent on the first presentation of the two administrations. The first Exner administration produced significantly more C, Shd, and Blend responses than did the first Rapaport administration. Findings are discussed in light of their clinical implications, limitations in the experimental desing, and suggestions for improving future research. Аннотация: A tripartite taxonomy of perceptual-cognitive errors on the Rorschach, abbreviated TRAUT, was reviewed. TRAUT classifies "autisms" as stemming from either an arrant disregard for the blot shapes (HYPO), an inordinate attention to unusual blot areas (HYPER), or an endorsement of counterfactual relationships among blot areas (RELER) included among Exner's Unusual Verbalizations. The scoring of HYPOs and HYPERs and the frequency of their occurrence among thought-disocdered groups were determined by examining Rorschachs of inpatient schizophrenics, outpatient schizophrenics, borderline personality disorders, and Cluster A personality disorders. Because HYPOs and HYPERs yielded better differential diagnoses than RELERs among these four groups, it was suggested that such percepts chould be scored routinely as a screen for thought disorder. Аннотация: The study population was a group of 80 patients with psoriasis, 40 males and 40 females, aged 19 to 59, hospitalized at IDI-IRCCS, Rome-Italy. The analysis of the answers to the test shows very significantly the presence of a specific and global inhibition of this type of patients potentialities (intellectual, affective, impulsive, socio-relational and relative to their activity); a marked prevalence of the superficial thinking and a definite tendency to opt for the operational thinking; a strong inhibition of affective-emotional reactions and a poor willingness to open up and establish deep socio-affective contacts. It has also been observed in all the studied subjects a significant increase of phenomena indicating conflict, defence, anxiety, insecurity, immaturity, impulsiveness and of the problems related to the reality testing. These indicators allow to hypothesize that psychopathologics that are peculiar to personality disorders are particularly frequent in patients with psoriasis

Аннотация: Rorshach protocols of 18 preadolescent, sexually abused children were compared to protocols of 18 clinical controls. Dependent variables included responses with overt sexual contents, sexual symbols and near-sexual contents. Results suggested that the dependent variables, in combination, could differentiate sexually abused children from other clinical groups. Other Rorschach indices, according to the Exner scoring system, were generally not discriminatory. Behavior ratings completed by the parent, indicated that, for males, higher levels of behavior problems were associated with sexual abuse. Findings are interpreted in terms of a model of victim response to abuse events. Clinical utility is discussed. Библ. 29

Аннотация: It is important when engaging in the promotion of mental health activities for the aged to understand their personality traits. In this study by use of the Rorschach test, the author attempts to assess the personality traits of the aged living on an isolated island in Okinawa prefecture and compare neurotic individuals with normal controls. The subjects were 10 neurotic individuals (N-group) and 15 normal controls (C-group). We found that the N-group showed low points on reality testing, but there was no great discrepancy between the two groups. The common traits of the 2 groups were obsessiveness and weak assertiveness and realism. Compared with other studies, these traits show higher levels on reality testing and lower of internal functioning. In the three-year follow-up study alomst no change in personality was found. From these findings it is considered that these personality traits can be attributed to the strong influence of culture and climate, and not to the early onset of senility. Also, as it is assumed that both groups would have a tendency to fall into crisis, it is important to establish an area support system to prevent psychological isolation. Библ. 14

Аннотация: This study investigated Rorschach Inkblot Test response patterns in a group of children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and compared them to matched samples of clinical control and normal control groups. The findings indicated that the ADHD and clinical control groups both demonstrated markedly limited coping capacities, an avoidance of affect-laden stimuli, difficulties with self- and interpersonal perceptions, problems in perceiving reality accurately, and a vulnerability to depression. The ADHD group demonstrated significantly more intense feelings of isolation and discomfort, less social involvement, avoidance of decision-making, and more dependence, while the clinical control group demonstrated a significantly higher level of psychological disorganization and thinking problems. Аннотация: Обследованы 30 больных среднего возраста 50,8 лет, страдающих СОАС, посредством теста Роршаха с компьютерной модификацией для определения индексов психо-эмоционального состояния личности (ПЭСЛ). Выявлена зависимость между СОАС и особенностями ПЭСЛ. Высказано предположение, что СОАС является вторичным проявлением аффективного состояния (тревоги, беспокойства, депрессии). Среди индексов ПЭСЛ, полученных при обследовании больных с СОАС, превалировали регрессивная защита с дисфорической аффективностью и депрессивной ориентацией настроения. Аннотация: Research in clinical personality assessment continues to be produced at a high rate. The MMPI/MMPI-2 remains the most popular instrument for both clinical application and psychopathology research. Two other clinical personality instruments, the Rorschach and TAT, continue to find a place in research and clinical assessment. Some new instruments have surfaced recently to deal with areas, such as personality disorders, that have been considered inadequately addressed. There is a growing recognition that the Five-Factor Model is too superficial for clinical assessment that requires more refined and broadened patient information. Clinical personality assessment has successfully survived a number of past challenges. The newest challenge stems from the health-care revolution, in which managed-care providers are reluctant to pay for assessment because of shrinking funds. Psychologists need to develop models for incorporating assessment information into the treatment process. The future is likely to see more extensive research and theoretical development in this endeavor. Библ. 238
