Аннотация: The purpose of the study was twofold: (a) to determine if there was a significant relationship between principals' administrative leadership and teachers's morale and (2) to determine if there were significant differences among teachers' morale under varying administrative leadership styles. The study also investigated the relationship among administrative leadership styles, teacher age, and school morale levels. The sample consisted of 40 high school principals and 411 teachers selected from urban schools. The Leadership Ability Evaluation (LAE) questionnaire and the Purdue Teacher Opinionaire (PTO) were administered. The results revealed that there were 10 principals who evaluated themselves as autocratic aggressive and democratic cooperative, while 14 principals classified themselves as autocratic submissive and 7 lassiez-faire. It was concluded that none of the leadership variables were linked to teachers' morale and that 67 percent of the principals were rated as ineffective principals and 50 percent of the schools were rated by teachers as having low morale.
