Аннотация: Preliminary results showed significant associations between the intake of fats and cholesterol (expressed as % of energy intake) between spouses (r=0.30 to r=0.44, n=253), between mother and children (r=0.21 to r=0.38, n=298), and between father and children (r=0.17 to r=0.27, n=259). No resemblance in fat intake between friends was detected. There were no significant associations between the intakes of teenagers and their friends (r=-0.04 to r=0.05, n=240), nor between mothers and their friends (r=-0.05 to r=0.17, n=79) and between fathers and their friends (r=-0.02 to r=0.27, n=29). The results suggest that a shared home environment is more important in determining the fat intake of individuals than influences of friends
