    Revascularization of a free skin flap using a small caliber polyurethant vascular graft coated with HEMA-St copolymers [Text] : select. Abstr. 12th Congr. Int. Microsurg. Soc., Nara, Oct. 2-7, 1994 / T. Honda, M. Nozaki, T. Okano // Microsurgery. - 1995. - Vol. 16, N 4. - P241 . - ISSN 0738-1085
Перевод заглавия: Реваскуляризация свободного кожного лоскута с использованием полиуретановых сосудистых протезов малого диаметра, покрытых 2-гидроксиэтилметакрилат-стиролом
Аннотация: Naas and Traaholt in 1977 and Sugaya and his colleagues in 1982 were the first to utilize a small caliber alloplastic vessel to re-vascularize a skin flap in animals. However, they have encountered a high rate of failure due to thrombus formation in the artificial vessel. Thrombogenic effects of the materials used to fabricate a vascular graft and a low rate of blood flow through the vessel were thought to account for the failures. The present study was designed to evaluate the usefulness of a new small caliber prosthetic vessel with special luminal coating as a vascular conduit, and to assess the feasibility of using this alloplastic vessel in re-vascularizing a free skin flap in laboratory animals. The vascular prosthesis was fabricated from polyurethane. Its inner surface was coated with 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate-Styrene (HEMA-St) block copolymers and releasing anticoagulant (argatroban). A saphenous island skin flaps in mongrel dogs were fashioned for assessment of flap survival. An arteriovenous shunt was constructed by connecting the distal end of the axial artery and vein for the purpose of increasing rate of blood flow through the vascular grafts.
